1½cupswater
¾cupdry old-fashioned rolled oats
1mediumapplechopped
½tsp.ground cinnamon
1dashground cloves
1dashground ginger
1tsp.raw honeyto taste; optional
½scoopVanilla-flavored whey protein powder
1tsp.flaxseed meal or ground flaxseed
Instructions
Bring water to boil in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add oats; cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Add apple, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and honey; mix well. Let sit, covered, for 10 minutes.
If oatmeal is not hot enough, heat over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add whey protein powder and flax seed meal; mix well.
Divide evenly between two serving bowls.
