Chocolate Pecan Pie Shake
This rich and filling shake will make you forget all about the slice of pecan pie you've been craving. It gives you all the same flavors, but it's way easier to make, and way healthier!
- 1 cup unsweetened rice milk
- 1 cup ice
- 1 scoop Openfit Plant-Based Protein Shake
- 8 pecans, unsalted
- 2 medium pitted dates
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
Place rice milk, ice, Openfit Plant-Based Protein Shake, pecans, dates, and cinnamon in blender, cover. Blend until smooth.
The chocolatey flavor in this recipe comes from cocoa powder found in the Openfit Plant-Based Protein Shake, which perfectly balances the natural nutty flavor of the pecans. The dates provide a delightful caramel flavor, and then a dash of cinnamon is all you need to round out the flavor! And if you’re not a fan of rice milk you can swap it with whatever non-dairy milk you have on hand (though it will change the nutritional info).
However you mix up this recipe, you’re bound to wind up in protein shake bliss. Enjoy it for an indulgent afternoon snack or a protein-packed dessert. You really can’t go wrong either way!
