Your Guide to the Openfit App and How to Stream Openfit Online

At Openfit, we’ve put your fitness, nutrition, and community support all in one place to make it easier for you to get the results you want. And with our NEW app update, you’ll have even more Openfit features to help you reach your goals:

You can join a live group fitness class, led by certified trainers who can give you real-time feedback to help you get the most out of your workouts.

You can get a personalized meal plan that lets you know what to eat, how much to eat, and how to put it all together

Need a little motivation to kick-start your fitness journey? You can join the Real Results 3 Week Challenge.

Plus, with our advanced activity tracker, all your workouts, meals, and performance stats are continuously updated. This makes it simple to see what to do next, how to do it, and find out how quickly you’re progressing toward your goals. Tracking is a great way to stay committed to your plan, which is key to getting the results you really want.

So if you’re ready to get started, here’s everything you need to know about which devices we support, how to log on, how choose a membership plan, and how to access all of the Openfit content.

Openfit App Workouts

Openfit App — for iOS and Android Phones and Tablets

The Openfit app allows you to access every Openfit feature, including live workouts, on-demand programs, personalized meal plans and trackers, and more. Here’s how to use it.

1. Download the Openfit App

Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play and download the app. It’s free to download, but to access the Openfit fitness classes and nutrition resources, you’ll need to select a membership plan.

 

2. Choose Your Membership Plan

Openfit offers a wide variety of plan lengths and trial periods — just pick the one that works best for you.

All plans include unlimited access to live workouts with our team of certified trainers, on-demand programs such as Andrea Rogers’ Xtend Barre, personalized meal plans, and more.

You’ll have full access to everything Openfit during the trial period, as well as when your membership officially starts.

Please note, if you cancel within the trial period, your credit card will not be charged for the membership plan.

 

3. Register Your Account

You can set up your Openfit account through a provider, such as Facebook, Google, Amazon, or Apple. Or you can create your Openfit account separately.

Then, enter your email address or phone number as your username, type in a password, verify your account details, and register your account.

 

4. Complete Your Profile

You’ll answer just a few questions that help us better understand the goals you’re looking to achieve. This helps us provide you with a more personalized Openfit experience.

How to Access Your Workouts

All live classes and on-demand workouts are accessible from the homescreen. At the top of the screen, you’ll see our upcoming live classes. Below that, you’ll see some of our most popular on-demand programs. And toward the bottom of the screen, you’ll see the option to browse live and on-demand workouts by category, such as Strength Training.

Live Workout Classes

With the Openfit app, you can enjoy the energy of a live group class right in your own home.

In our live workouts, a certified trainer will personally coach you through your workout in real time! They will be right there with you, offering personalized guidance and motivation along the way. And, if you turn on your phone’s camera, your trainer can help you with your form too. (Don’t worry, your trainer is the only one who can see you.)

Prefer running or walking? Now you’ve got the trainer you’ve always wanted to keep you motivated and help you crush your personal pace and distance goals.

With over 350 brand-new live classes to choose from every week, there are workouts that fit your schedule, whether you’re an early bird or night owl.

How to Book a Live Class:

You have three ways to view live classes on the homescreen:

  • In Live and Upcoming
  • In Fitness
  • On the Live Class schedule.

All classes reflect your local time zone. Once you find a class you want to take, tap Book a Spot or Sign Up (depending on which screen you’ve navigated to).

Our live classes start on a certain day at a certain time, just as they would at the gym. We also limit class size, so we recommend that you sign up in advance if you definitely want to attend a class.

If you can’t make a class, please cancel as soon as possible, so the spot can be made available to another Openfit member.

Once your class is getting ready to start, you’ll see a countdown to launch. And then you’ll be ready to get your sweat on!

Live Virtual Trainer Benefits

If It’s Your First Live Class, Set Your Permissions.

When you take your first live class, the app will first ask for a few permissions to improve your experience. Here are a couple key topics:

Camera
If you want personalized feedback from your trainer during live classes, you’ll want to allow Openfit authorized access to your camera, and set your phone or tablet 5–10 feet away from you on the floor or a shelf. Note: Only your trainer will see you during the workout, no one else. Plus, you can easily turn the camera on and off at any time.

Location
Our walking and running classes use GPS to measure pace and distance metrics. So when it comes to location services, you’ll want to set the app to Always. This allows our app and trainers to receive your workout stats wherever you happen to be. Using this information, our trainer will know what type of instruction to give to help you reach your personal goals.

(Please Note: While it may seem like a good idea to choose Only While Using the App, that location option causes many phones to lock up during the workout.)

Sign up for a 3 Week Real Results Challenge

Want to jump-start your results? The Real Results 3 Week Challenge is 21 days of short, efficient 25-minute workouts led by a live trainer who helps you get the most out of every class. A new Challenge starts every Monday.

1. Tap the Live Challenge module on the homescreen.

2. Tap Book a Spot.

3. Pick the weekday or weekend timeslot that will work best for your schedule over the course of the Challenge.

And just like magic, you’ll be auto-enrolled in all of your 3 Week Challenge classes

If you need to alter a class time, just return to the Live Challenge module on the homes creen and reschedule from within the class list provided. Being a spot hog goes the same for Challenges… if you know you’re going to miss class, please release your spot so someone else can use it.

If you do miss a class because life happens, return to the Live Challenge module again and tap the class you missed — you’ll now be able to take that exact same class, but on demand.

Stream an On-Demand Workout

Openfit’s cardio, strength training, yoga, barre, and walking and running routines have been proven to work for people of every age and fitness level. And most of the workouts take 30 minutes or less. In addition to our running and walking workouts, here’s what’s available on demand:

  • Xtend Barre – Burn calories and sculpt lean muscle with a cardio-driven mix of ballet and Pilates.
  • 600 Secs – Get awesome results fast with these high-intensity, ultra-efficient 10-minute workouts.
  • Rough Around The Edges – Get shredded with high-octane workouts led by Hollywood stuntwomen.
  • Yoga52 – Reduce stress and increase mobility with yoga in your own home, on your own schedule.
  • T-MINUS 30 – Get in crazy-good shape with workouts led by a four-time Tough Mudder champion.

You can access hundreds of on-demand streaming classes from the homes creen.

Either tap on one of the on-demand programs in the middle of the screen, or toward the bottom of the screen, you’ll see the option to browse on-demand workouts by category, such as Strength Training. When you find the workout you want to do, simply press play.

Get a Personalized Meal Plan

We make it easy to eat healthy by providing you with a personalized meal plan based on your goals and lifestyle.

You’ll also get lots of healthy, tasty recipes that are easy to make and cooking tips to help you out in the kitchen.

And, you’ll receive updates in the app on how you’re tracking against your own daily goals for all of your macronutrients: calories, fat, carbs, and protein.

To access your meal plans, tap the Nutrition section at the bottom of the homescreen. Then answer a few quick questions so we can build a meal plan that’s tailored to your goals.

Access your daily meal plan through the Nutrition section of the app. Log each meal once you’re done eating. And remember, anytime you want to swap out a suggested meal, simply tap Replace to find other macro-equivalent options.

How to Stream Openfit on the Web

Using Openfit on the web gives you access to hundreds of results-driven on-demand workouts, simple eating plans tailored to your goals, and expert advice on everything fitness and nutrition.

But, if you want to access all the incredible features mentioned above, you’ll need to download the Openfit app! Get it for Apple or Android.

1. Choose Your Openfit Membership Plan

2. Create Your Account

3. Access On-Demand Workouts

When you select the Today tab on your Fitness homescreen, you’ll have the option to Find Your First Workout, see your Workouts Completed, view your My Favorites, and choose/alter your Nutrition Plan.

When you select the All Workouts tab on your Fitness homescreen, you’ll have the option to choose a workout from either the Fitness Programs section or the Workout Categories section.

Openfit On Demand

How to Stream Openfit on Roku

To set up Openfit on your Roku device, follow the instructions below to add the channel, activate your account, and get started.

If you have a brand-new Roku device and need help setting up for the first time, follow the instructions on the Roku website and then proceed below.

1. Add the Openfit channel on Roku

  • Go to your Roku Homescreen by clicking the home button on your remote
  • Search for Openfit and press OK
  • Select Add Channel to confirm

OR

  • Go to your Roku Homescreen by clicking the home button on your remote
  • Navigate to Streaming Channel
  • Scroll down and select Fitness
  • Navigate to Openfit and press OK
  • Select Add Channel to confirm

2. Log In or Sign Up

If you already have an existing Openfit account
Open the app and log in using your credentials. If you are already logged in on your web browser, you can activate Roku by following the Activate steps on your Roku screen. NOTE: If you get logged out for any reason, an activation code is an easier way to log in than using a remote on your TV (though both are options).

If you signed up for Openfit through Facebook, Google, or Amazon
Log in to https://account.openfit.com/login using the social button on your web browser and proceed to https://home.openfit.com/activate.

If you have not yet established your Openfit account
Click Start Your Free Trial, then choose your membership plan, set up and register your account.

 

3. Access On-Demand Programs

On the left side of your screen, you’ll see the Openfit content listed by category: Programs, Workouts, and Nutrition.

When you select Programs, you’ll see comprehensive, results-driven fitness programs that have been proven to work. When you click on an individual program, you’ll see all of the workouts in that program. Click on one of them and press Play to start your workout.

 

4. Search for Workouts By Type

Underneath the heading Workouts, you’ll see several workout categories such as 30 Mins or Less, Strength Training, Abs & Core, etc. When you click on a category, you’ll see a list of workouts. Click on one of them and press Play to start your workout.
