Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps
We gave classic Asian lettuce wraps a makeover by using lean ground turkey and mushrooms to make a nutritious filling.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. + 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 4 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 lb. raw 93% lean ground turkey
- Sea salt (or Himalayan salt) and ground black pepper to taste; optional
- 2 cups Bibb (or butter) lettuce leaves approx. 16 leaves
Instructions

Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add mushrooms; cook, stirring occasionally, for 4 to 6 minutes, or until mushrooms are soft and liquid has evaporated.

Add turkey; cook, stirring frequently, for 4 to 6 minutes, or until browned and no longer pink.

Season with salt and pepper (if desired); mix well.

Evenly divide turkey mixture among lettuce leaves.
Recipe Notes
- To add additional flavor, cook turkey with 4 cloves finely chopped garlic and 2 tsp. finely chopped fresh ginger.
- Serve each portion drizzled with 1½ tsp. reduced sodium soy sauce.
