This Green Smoothie Bowl Is the Prettiest Way to Eat More Greens

There’s something about a spoon and a bowl that makes any food undeniably more fun to eat. That’s why you’ll love powering up with this green smoothie bowl for a healthy breakfast, snack, or dessert. Created by Chef and Food Stylist Megan Mitchell, this recipe has all the healthy goodness of a smoothie, but with toppings that make it a little “extra.”

Maybe you’re wondering what the difference is between a smoothie and a smoothie bowl? A smoothie bowl is the ultimate BOBW (best of both worlds). It’s a thick smoothie poured into a bowl and loaded up with healthy toppings like fruit, nuts, seeds, and shredded coconut. Think of it like a healthier alternative to fro-yo “sundaes.”

Taking that to the next level, a green smoothie bowl has fruits and veggies to cover even more of your nutritional bases.

If you’ve ever ordered a smoothie bowl at a café, you know they’re pricey. Making your own at home could save you some cash — and you control the toppings, so go ahead and sneak on a few more blueberries or chia seeds.

And of course, as a food stylist, Megan pays attention to the aesthetics of her food, so you know this is going to look good on the ‘gram.
